This is where the two-part idea shows its value. The sand shell is the look — matte, granular, unmistakably stone. The liner is a drop-in PET insert that actually holds the water, so the porous shell never gets wet.
Pull the liner, rinse it, refill. The shell stays dry on the outside and never sees a drop.
